Recent Work
My current series is inspired by the shapes of leaves, which are abstracted into simpler forms. Using hand dyed fabrics, I highlight the shading of the leaves while cutting the shapes free-form. Detailed quilting enhances the shapes of the leaves and provides increased visual texture. These quilts are all designed, machine quilted and photographed by Donna Radner.

Neon Canyons

Fused collage of curvy pleated strips. Hand dyed fabrics and batiks. Machine quilted. Inspired by photos of the Grand Canyon under different light conditions at different times of day.
Leaf Series #1

This piece was designed in an online workshop with Shelia Frampton Cooper in 2022. Free- form shapes of leaves were cut from hand dyed fabrics including veins in accenting fabrics, then fused to a background and machine quilted with outlines on the leaves and veins and meander quilting in the background. Completed in 2023.
